It’s only a computer-generated voice, but Odiogo instantly turns your most recent posts into podcasts.

The Odiogo Listen Button plugin creates computer-generated podcasts of posts. The service is free to bloggers who register at Odiogo.com for a feed ID. Data is stored on Odiogo’s servers.

Watch the video review below, or continue reading further down.

Overview:

  • Offsite solution, and free to bloggers.
  • Generates a podcast of every post; visitors can listen to these in post entries, or they can subscribe to a feed.
  • Users can also download individual podcasts in a variety of formats, including mp3, iTunes and Zune, among others.
  • Pleasing, computer generated voice; pronunciation is exceptional.
  • Sidebar subscription widget.

There’s not much in the way of placement control. The listen button is appended to the top-left of the post, which is probably where you want it anyway. And there doesn’t appear any way to alter the color scheme of the button.

Overall, this plugin is remarkably functional, easy to install, and an instant solution to your podcast needs. Any plugin that increases access to your blog is worth considering.
